Kruti Giridhar recently completed a McCusker Centre for Citizenship internship with the WA Museum, supporting the work of the Museum’s Arachnology section to increase knowledge of WA’s natural heritage – in particular, the brush-footed spider family.

UWA intern helps develop accessible resources to help community better understand important child safety legislation

UWA student intern, Aimee Donaldson, recently completed a 100-hour internship through the McCusker Centre for Citizenship with the Department of Communities, applying her skills to help develop engaging and accessible resources about important changes to child safety legislation.

Rachel receives award for outstanding contributions to workplace inclusion

Rachel Sammons was one of the four young women most recently presented with the McCusker Centre for Citizenship Outstanding Intern Award, for her significant contribution to the Department of Transport’s Employee Relations team, where she supported policy development to foster safety and inclusion in the workplace.

Maria supports development of learning platform to strengthen WA health services for multicultural communities

An internship at the McCusker Centre for Citizenship saw UWA student Maria Saji contribute 100 hours towards the WA Country Health Service (WACHS), assisting with the development of educational resources to help staff better support people and communities from culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) backgrounds.
